Modi Tex

You can find us at 22/23 in the Riico Industrial Area Shopping Centre, Phase-1. It’s a bit of a maze in here if you aren’t used to it, but we’ve been here so long we could find our way in the dark. Modi Tex is basically a textile place where we deal with fabrics and all the stuff that goes along with that. The shop is usually filled with rolls of cloth and the smell of new material. It’s not a quiet place because of the shoppers and the other businesses nearby, but we like the energy. Phase-1 has changed a lot since we first opened our doors. There used to be more empty lots, but now it’s packed with shops. We don’t spend money on big signs or anything flashy. Most of our customers are people who have been coming to us for a decade or more. They know where we sit and they know we’ll just give them a straight answer about what we have in stock. The shelves are pretty high and sometimes we have to climb up to find exactly what someone is looking for. It’s a lot of physical work, moving those heavy rolls around, but it keeps us fit. We have a small corner where we keep the kettle for tea. It’s a regular part of our day, sitting there for ten minutes before the next rush starts. That’s just how we do things here every single day.
