Jayas And Sons is located over in Shastri Nagar in the Neel Kunth Colony area. We are a family business through and through, just like the name says. The shop is part of the ground floor of our house, so we are always around. It’s a neighborhood spot where people come for their daily needs. We have shelves filled with different items and we try to keep things organized but it doesn't always stay that way. My sons help out after they finish their school work or other jobs. We know most of the families in Neel Kunth Colony by name since we've lived here so long. There’s a small bench outside where the older men sometimes sit and chat while we work. We don't have any fancy signs, just a hand-painted one above the door. The mornings are usually the busiest when everyone is getting ready for their day. We keep the shop open until late in the evening because someone always forgets something they need for dinner. It’s a simple life running a local store. We handle the inventory ourselves and go to the big market once a week to restock the shelves. It’s not a big corporate chain or anything like that. Just us serving the people who live nearby in Shastri Nagar. We like the community feel of this place and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. We just take it day by day and make sure the neighborhood has what it needs from us.
