Our place is in Agarwal Bhawan, right in the middle of Bazar No. 3 here in Bhilwara. If you know the area, we are pretty close to Chetan Pan Bhandar. It’s a landmark everyone knows, so we just tell people to look for that. The bazaar is usually packed with people and motorcycles trying to squeeze through. CHHOTELAL SANWARMAL AGARWAL is tucked away in the building. It’s an old building, but it stays relatively cool inside even when the Rajasthan sun is beating down outside. We spend most of our time dealing with whatever comes through the door. There’s always a lot of activity around us. You can hear the vendors outside and the smell of the street food. Sometimes we go over to the pan shop ourselves for a break. Our office isn't anything special to look at. Just a few chairs and some old cabinets for our files. We’ve kept things the same way for years because it works for us. It’s a family-run kind of vibe. We don't use fancy computers for everything; a lot is still written down. The stairs up to our floor are a bit narrow, so you have to be careful. Every morning starts with cleaning the dust off the desks. It’s dusty work in this part of town. We just show up, do the jobs that need doing, and head home when the bazaar starts to wind down in the evening.
