We are based in Ashok Nagar right near Azad Market. It's a lively place to be. We spend most of our time lugging big speakers around and untangling thick black cables. If there is a wedding or a festival nearby, we are usually there with our sound system. It's a lot of heavy lifting, and my back definitely feels it the next morning. We have a small storage room where we keep all the amplifiers and lights. Sometimes the neighbors complain when we test the bass, but we try to keep it quick. The market gets so busy that parking our van is always a nightmare. We’ve been doing this for a few years now, and we’ve seen all kinds of parties. Some are great, some are just loud. We don't have a big office or anything. People usually just drop by or call us when they need music for their event. It's mostly just me and a couple of guys who help with the setup. We spend hours making sure the sound is right, even if the power keeps flickering. That’s the hardest part, dealing with the electricity. We carry a lot of tape and spare fuses just in case. The van we use is an old white one that rattles when we drive over the potholes in Ashok Nagar. Every time we finish a job, my ears ring for a few hours. That’s just part of the work. We don't use fancy laptops; sometimes it's just a simple mixer and some old-fashioned knobs. Seeing people dance makes it feel okay. We stay out late most nights and sleep in when we can.
