Shivdhara Marble & Granite

If you’re on Talaja Road, look for Plot No 8 near the Topri Cinema Circle. That’s where we’re based. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows the cinema. We’ve got a variety of marble and granite sitting out in the yard. It’s a dusty place, as you’d expect. We spend our time moving slabs and helping people pick out what they need for their homes. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the business. The traffic around the cinema circle can get a bit crazy in the evenings, but we’re usually wrapping up by then. During the day, it’s mostly the sound of the slabs being moved and the occasional truck backing in. We keep the stone organized by type, but sometimes things get shuffled around when we’re busy. We don’t use any fancy brochures. We just show people the real thing. It’s hard work, and the stone is unforgiving if you make a mistake. We’ve learned to be careful over the years. Some days are slow, and we just spend time cleaning up the yard or checking the inventory. Other days, we’re running around from morning to night. It’s a basic way of living, but it suits us. We like being part of the local scene here on Talaja Road and dealing with the neighbors every day.
