Shiv- Shakti Engineering Works.

Shiv- Shakti Engineering Works is over at Plot No 58 in Chitra Gidc. It is right near the big water tank which is how most people find us. The shop floor is usually a bit of a mess with metal scraps and oil. We started this place because we knew how to handle the machines. Every morning I open the metal shutters and they make a loud screeching sound that the neighbors probably hate. Chitra Gidc is a busy area so there is always dust blowing in from the road. I keep a small desk in the corner but I am mostly out on the floor. My clothes have grease stains that never really come out no matter how much they are washed. We do a lot of turning and milling work here. The noise is constant from the lathes and the grinders. Sometimes we have to shout just to hear each other over the humming of the motors. Lunch is usually just tiffin brought from home while sitting on a wooden stool near the entrance. We don't have fancy office chairs or anything like that. The floor is concrete and has some cracks from years of moving heavy parts around. When the power goes out we just sit outside and wait for it to come back. It is simple work but it keeps us busy every day. We see the same faces passing by the water tank all the time. It is just a regular workshop doing regular work for people who need things made or fixed.
