Panoli is a very industrial place, and our unit at Plot No. 213 in the G.I.D.C. is right in the thick of it. The sun gets really strong out here, especially in the afternoons. You can see the dust kicking up from the trucks on the main road. We work with dyes and intermediates, which is heavy and often messy work. Our office is just a small section at the front of the factory. It’s pretty basic with a couple of old fans and some metal cupboards for the files. We don't spend much time sitting in there anyway. Most of the day is spent out on the floor or checking the storage areas. The team we have here is a group of local guys who have been with us for years. We don't have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures. Most of our customers are people we’ve known for a long time. They know where to find us and what we can do. Sometimes the power goes out or a shipment of raw materials is late, and we just have to wait it out. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. We eat our lunch together in the shade when we can. It’s a simple, straightforward operation without any unnecessary frills. We just keep our heads down and try to get the batches out on time every day. That is the main thing for us.
