L&T Hydrocarbon

We are currently based out at the Ril Dmd Job Site in Dahej. If you’ve ever been to this part of Gujarat, you know it’s mostly industrial plants and dust. L&T Hydrocarbon has a setup here because that’s where the work is. It’s not a permanent office in a city; it’s a job site. That means a lot of trailers, heavy boots, and hard hats. The wind blows pretty hard coming off the sea sometimes. We spend most of our time out in the field or in the temporary cabins. It’s a long way from any big town, so we mostly stay on-site throughout the day. The food is what you’d expect at a construction site canteen. We are surrounded by pipes, cranes, and big machinery. It’s noisy and hot, but we get used to it. Everyone here is focused on the project. We’ve got engineers and laborers all mixing together. It’s a busy atmosphere. There isn't much to do in the evenings except rest for the next day. The road to get here is long and straight. We see a lot of trucks moving back and forth. It’s a practical place for practical work. We don't have any decorations or anything like that. Just maps, blueprints, and our tools. It's tough work in a tough environment. We’ve been out here for months and the landscape never really changes for us.
