Larsen & Toubro Limited

Our setup is right at the Toll Plaza Complex on NH-8 in Bharuch. It’s specifically at the Zadeswar Chowkdi. If you’re driving along the highway, you can’t miss it. Being located at a toll plaza means there is a constant hum of engines and the smell of exhaust in the air. It’s a very specific kind of environment to work in. This part of Larsen & Toubro Limited is focused on the road and the infrastructure right in front of us. We spend a lot of time monitoring the traffic and making sure the operations at the plaza are running as they should. The office itself is small and utilitarian. We have the basics: desks, chairs, a kettle for tea, and plenty of monitors. It’s not the kind of place where you’d hold a gala, but it’s perfect for keeping an eye on the highway. The dust from the road is a constant battle, and we’re always wiping down our keyboards. Most of the guys here are local to Bharuch or the surrounding villages. We work in shifts because the road never closes. There’s a certain rhythm to the traffic that you only notice if you spend all day here. We aren't here to make a big splash; we are just here to keep things moving. It’s a straightforward job that requires us to be alert and ready for anything that happens on the NH-8. We just keep our focus on the asphalt.
