We are located in House Number 20 within the Manishanand Society in Bharuch, Gujarat. Since we are in a residential society, it’s a lot quieter than being out on the main highway. We like it that way. It feels more like being part of a neighborhood than being in a business district. The office is just a regular house that we’ve repurposed. It’s got a small front yard where we park our scooters. Inside, the rooms are filled with desks and some old wooden cupboards for our files. We don’t have any of that modern glass and steel furniture. It’s all very functional and a little bit old-fashioned. We start our mornings with the local news and a cup of tea before we dive into our work. There isn’t a lot of formality here. We talk across the rooms and share whatever snacks someone brought from home. Sometimes the neighbors come by if they need something or just to say hi. Bharuch can get very hot, so we keep the coolers running most of the time. We aren’t trying to impress anyone with a big corporate image. We just want to get through our list of things to do for the day. It’s a steady kind of life. We’ve been in this society for a while now, and everyone knows who we are. It’s just a plain, simple office where we put in our hours and go home to relax.
