Shree Balbhadra Senior Secondary School

If you’re driving down Madarpur Road in Bharatpur, you’ll see our school building standing there. It’s a senior secondary school, so we deal with the older kids who are getting ready to finish up their schooling. The road outside is usually quite busy with trucks and tractors, so there’s always a bit of a rumble in the background during classes. The school has a courtyard where everyone gathers for the morning prayer, and you can hear the voices echoing off the walls. Inside, the classrooms are basic—just benches, desks, and a board for the teacher. We don't have any of those modern fancy labs you see in the big cities, but we have what’s necessary for the science and arts subjects. The staff has been here for years, and they know how to handle the rowdy teenagers. There’s a small shop nearby where the kids go to buy pens or snacks, and that’s usually where they hang out after the last bell. We have a lot of trees around the perimeter which helps with the shade during the hot Bharatpur summers. It’s a plain, honest school where the main focus is just getting the students through their boards and onto whatever comes next in their lives. We don’t do much advertising; the families around here just know us as the school on Madarpur Road. It’s been that way for a long time now and we’re happy with how things are.
