Taj Bricks

Out here in Village Shahpur, Taj Bricks is part of the daily landscape. We are located near the Ghogha Gole Sadak Chowk, right off NH 80, which means there is always a lot of dust and noise from the passing trucks. Making bricks is heavy, dirty work and it is what we do every single day. The sun gets hot in Tehsil Nathnagar, and when you are working with clay and kilns, you definitely feel it. We have got our stacks of finished bricks sitting out in the yard, waiting for tractors or lorries to come pick them up. It is not a glamorous life, but there is something satisfying about seeing a fresh batch come out right. We don't have a fancy marketing team or a big front office. It is just the kiln, the workers, and the red soil we use to make everything. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and we have to cover everything up fast when the rain starts. People from around Goga know we are here because of the tall chimney and the constant activity near the highway. It’s a simple operation, really. We focus on the digging, the molding, and the firing. Every brick that leaves Shahpur is something we handled ourselves. It takes a lot of patience to get the heat just right in the kiln, and we've had our share of bad batches over the years, but we keep at it because that is the job.
