Maa Bricks

Maa Bricks is located right in Champanagar, on the Ranuchakmakandpur Road. We are pretty close to Vasant High School and the State Bank ATM, so there is always a lot of activity nearby. It’s a busy corner of Bhagalpur. We have been making bricks here for a good while. The yard is usually full of stacks of bricks waiting to be picked up. It’s a family-run kind of thing, not a big company with offices and meetings. We spend our days out in the dirt and the sun. Making bricks is heavy work, and our hands show it. We don't have any fancy machines that do everything for us; we still do a lot of it the old way. People know us in the Nathnagar taluka because we’ve been here so long. They stop by when they need a load for a new room or a fence. We just give them a price and help them load up the cart or truck. Sometimes the school kids walk by and watch us work. It’s a simple life. We don't do any big advertising. We just rely on people seeing our sign or hearing about us from their cousins. The weather is our biggest boss; if it's too wet, we just have to wait. We take it one day at a time, making sure we have enough stock for whoever comes through next. We've been part of this village for years and plan to stay.
