Santosh Brick Industries

My family has been running Santosh Brick Industries for quite a few years now. We are located right in Village-Gogha, which most people know is pretty close to the Hanuman Mandir. If you walk past the temple, you can usually see the smoke from our kiln or hear the tractors moving around. It is a messy job honestly, with a lot of mud and red dust everywhere on our clothes. We spend most of our days just watching the weather because if it rains, everything stops and the bricks don't dry right. It gets really hot out here in the sun, especially when we are moving the finished blocks to the storage area. People from the village come by all the time, sometimes just to talk or to ask when the next batch will be ready for their houses. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a small shed where we keep the accounts and a few chairs for when someone drops in. Most of the guys working here have been with us for a long time, so we all know each other well. It is hard work, lifting and stacking all day long, and your back definitely feels it by the evening. We just try to keep things moving and get the orders out to the local builders when they need them. It is a simple life in Gogha, just making bricks and hoping the rain stays away during the peak season.
