Zoori Furniture & Interiors

We’ve been here at 2459 Banashankari 2nd Stage for a while now. Most people know us because we’re right across from the Post Office. It gets pretty busy on this road with people coming and going to mail things, but we just stick to our work inside. At Zoori Furniture & Interiors, there’s usually some sawdust on the floor and pieces of wood leaning against the walls. It’s not a fancy showroom like you see in the big malls. We have tools lying around and sketches pinned to the boards. Sometimes the place looks a bit messy when we have a lot of projects going on at once. We spend most of our time measuring things or trying to figure out how a cabinet door should hang properly. It’s just how it goes when you’re building stuff by hand. Living and working in Banashankari means we see the same faces every day. We know the shopkeepers nearby and the post office staff. It’s a good spot, even if the traffic gets a bit much in the evenings. We handle the furniture and the interior bits ourselves. Sometimes we run out of space for all the samples, so they end up in piles. If you walk past the 4 Bungalows area, you’ll probably hear us hammering or see us unloading some materials from a truck. It’s honest work and we just keep at it day after day without too much fuss.
