The Chip Wud Interiors

We’ve been working out of JP Nagar 5th Main Road for quite a long time now. Most days you can find us at the shop in the 3rd Phase dealing with piles of wood and measuring tapes. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, what with the sawdust getting everywhere and the noise of the machines running all morning, but it’s what we do. We mostly spend our time trying to figure out how to make a cupboard fit into a corner that isn't actually square or fixing a table that someone’s kids probably broke. People come in with their ideas or sketches on a piece of paper, and we try to see if we can build it without it costing them a fortune. The traffic on 5th Main can get pretty bad during the evenings, so we usually try to get our deliveries out early if we can help it. It’s just a handful of us here, doing the sanding and the polishing by hand when the machines are too much. We don't have a big fancy showroom or anything like that, just the workshop where everything actually happens. Sometimes the wood doesn't arrive on time or the finish takes longer to dry because of the rain, but that’s just how it goes in this business. We just try to get the work done so the customer can finally move their stuff in. If you walk past 144, you'll probably hear us before you see us.
