Peel Ply

Our warehouse is located at 350/1 Nayandahalli, down on Pillappa Lane. It’s tucked away a bit, so you have to look for the turn-off. Peel Ply is really just a place where we handle a lot of wood and materials every day. The air always smells a bit like sawdust and glue, which is something you get used to after the first week. We spend a lot of time unloading sheets of ply and stacking them up according to their thickness. Pillappa Lane is a bit narrow, so when the big trucks come in, it can be a bit of a squeeze, but we’ve got the hang of it now. We don’t have any fancy offices here, just a small corner with a table where we keep the invoices and a bottle of water. Most of our day is spent moving heavy stuff around and making sure the orders are ready for whoever is coming to pick them up. It’s honest work, and it keeps us on our feet. The neighbors in Nayandahalli are mostly other workshops and small businesses, so there is always the sound of machinery or hammers going in the distance. We keep our doors open to let the air circulate, especially when it gets hot in the afternoons. It’s a simple operation, nothing too complicated, just us working through the stacks of ply until the sun goes down.
