The shop is at 18 Kengal Hanumanthaiah Road, specifically on Andree Road. We are right behind VGP, so if you find that, you’ve basically found us. We work with furniture every day. It’s a dusty place, to be honest, because there is always some sanding or cutting going on. You can usually hear the sound of a saw or a hammer if you come by in the afternoon. We make things like wardrobes, beds, and tables. Sometimes we have a few pieces already finished sitting in the front so people can see the quality of the wood. I spend most of my time with a pencil behind my ear and a tape measure in my hand. It is hard work and my hands are often rough from the wood, but it’s what I know how to do. We don't have a big showroom with air conditioning. It’s just the workshop and a small area to talk to people. Sometimes customers bring in a picture from a magazine and ask if we can make something similar. We look at it and tell them if it’s possible with the wood we have. It’s a very practical way of doing things. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just build furniture that stays together and doesn't wobble. That’s how we have always done it here behind VGP. It's a simple life surrounded by the smell of sawdust and wood polish.
