Yash Furniture

You can find Yash Furniture over at 18 Annipura halli Main Road. We have been set up here for quite a while now. The shop is usually full of the smell of fresh wood and whatever finish we happen to be using that day. It is a noisy place because there is always a saw or a sander going somewhere in the back. We don't have a big polished showroom with bright lights. Most of our pieces are just sitting there as they get finished. We work with our hands mostly. There are sawdust piles in the corners, no matter how much we sweep up. Annipura halli is a good spot for us because people are always walking by on the Main Road. They stop in to look at a chair or ask if we can fix a table they have at home. We don't do big fancy advertisements to get people in. People just know we are here. Sometimes the wood doesn't behave like we want it to, and we have to start over. That is just part of the craft. We aren't designers with fancy degrees; we just know how to put furniture together so it stays together for a long time. It is hard work and our backs hurt at the end of the week, but seeing a finished cabinet feels good. The shop is small and crowded, but it's where we spend all our time. We just keep making things day by day.
