Yardstick

You can find us at number 86 in Binny Layout, which is part of the Chandra Layout area in Vijaynagar. It’s a nice part of Bangalore, away from some of the more chaotic business districts. Yardstick has been here for a bit, and we like the vibe of the neighborhood. The office is really just a converted space that fits our team perfectly. We have enough room for our computers and a big table where we sometimes sit to figure out the harder problems together. It’s not a fancy corporate environment by any means. We wear regular clothes and don't worry too much about looking polished for anyone. The main thing is just getting the work done right and on time. We deal with a lot of different tasks throughout the week and no two days are quite the same for us. Sometimes we stay a bit late if a project is proving to be difficult to solve. Other days we finish up and head out early to beat the worst of the Bangalore traffic. We don't have a big HR department or any of those formal things. If there’s a problem, we just talk it out and fix it right then. It’s a very direct way of working that we all appreciate. Most of us have been living in Bangalore for a long time, so we are used to the pace of life here. We just like having a steady place to work where we can be ourselves and do a good job for the people who hire us to help them.
