Employment Bureau

We run the Employment Bureau over at number 32, right where 4th Cross and 3rd Cross meet in the Chamrajpet area. It is a small office with a lot of heavy paper files. People come in every day looking for some kind of work, and we do our best to match them up with whatever jobs we have heard about recently. It is mostly manual labor or basic office helper positions, nothing too complicated or high-level. We spend a lot of our time talking to folks about what they can do and writing down their details in our big blue ledgers. It is an old-school way of doing things, but it seems to work well for the people in this part of town. Chamrajpet is a busy place, and there is always someone looking for an extra hand or someone looking for a steady paycheck. We have been at this same spot for quite a few years now. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the chairs in the waiting area are a bit squeaky, but it is a place where people feel comfortable coming in to talk. We do not promise anyone a dream career, just something practical to help them get by. It is honest work for us, too. We open up early so workers can stop by before their day officially starts. It is just us here making simple connections between neighbors.
