Summit Restaurant

At Summit Restaurant, the morning starts early with the smell of woodsmoke and onions. We are situated at number 74 on 4th Main in Domlur 2nd stage, right on the 1st A Cross. It is a small place, and the kitchen takes up a good chunk of the space. We spend a lot of time scrubbing the floors and making sure the tables are wiped down before the lunch crowd shows up. The chairs don't all match, but they are sturdy enough for a quick meal. When it gets busy, it can get quite loud with the clattering of plates and people talking over each other. We do not have a fancy menu printed on thick paper, just a board or some simple sheets. The staff is mostly just a few of us who have been here for a long time. We know the regulars who come in from the nearby offices. Sometimes we run out of a certain dish by one o'clock, and we just have to tell people it's gone. The heat from the stove makes the place warm, even with the windows open to the street. It is just a regular neighborhood spot where you can get a plate of food without any ceremonies. At the end of the shift, we are usually pretty tired, but we get everything ready for the next day before we lock up.
