Sri Sai Leathers

You can find Sri Sai Leathers over at No. 26/6 Asharam Road, right in the Yelachenahalli area near Kanakapura Road. We handle leather work here, and if you walk in, you’ll definitely notice the smell right away. It is that strong, heavy scent of raw hides and tanning. We’ve been at this spot for a good number of years. It’s a practical workspace, not a place for showing off. We have tools scattered around and rolls of leather leaning against the walls. The traffic on Kanakapura Road can be a nightmare, so we usually get here early to beat the rush. Working with leather is hard on the hands. You get calluses and sometimes the dye stays under your fingernails for days. But it’s what we do. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us, the leather, and the machines. Sometimes a customer comes in with a specific request and we see what we can do. Most of the time we are just processing batches. The lighting in the back is a bit dim, but we know where everything is. It is a bit of a maze sometimes with all the scraps on the floor. We just try to do an honest day's work and go home to our families. It’s a quiet life if you ignore the machine noise.
