Jhamans

Jhamans is located at No. 22 in the CMA Shopping Complex. We are right across from Madhu Sweets in the Chickpet area. Being near a sweet shop is nice because the smell of sugar sometimes drifts over here. Chickpet is a very busy place, so it’s always a struggle to find parking, but people manage. Our shop is packed with stock from floor to ceiling. We don't have much room to move around, but we have everything we need right within reach. It’s mostly family running the place. We take turns sitting at the front desk and helping people find what they’re looking for. The building is a bit older, so the elevator doesn't always work right, but the stairs are fine. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shopkeepers by name. We don’t spend much on decorations or fancy rugs. We’d rather just keep the prices where people can afford them. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep a small fan running behind the counter. It’s noisy, but it helps. Customers come in and out all day, and we try to give everyone a bit of our time. It’s just a plain old shop doing business in a crowded market. We don't try to be anything we're not. We just open up and do our best every single day.
