Sunnex Leather Crafts

Sunnex Leather Crafts is situated right at 43, K. Kamaraj Road, which is very close to the entrance of Commercial Street. Because of the location, it gets extremely crowded around here, especially on the weekends when everyone is out shopping. Our shop is quite small, so we have to be very careful about how we stack our materials and where we keep our finished crafts. We spend most of our time at the back of the shop where there is a bit more room to work. The front is mostly just for people to walk in and look at what we have finished. We use a couple of old sewing machines that make a lot of noise, but they are reliable and get the job done. Working with leather is a messy business, and there is always dust and small bits of thread on the floor. We try to keep things as clean as possible, but it is a losing battle most days. We do not have a big corporate structure or anything like like that. It is just a few of us who have learned how to handle the material over many years of practice. Sometimes the heat in the shop gets a bit much, but we have a small cooler that helps a little. We just focus on getting the stitching right and making sure the items are sturdy. It is honest work and we have been doing it this way for a long time now.
