We are located in Sector 35 D, right on Avenue Road. It’s a busy part of town and we’ve been here quite some time now. Dealing with cargo is mostly about timing. We spend a lot of hours waiting for arrivals and then rushing to get things sorted. The office is pretty basic, just some computers and a lot of filing cabinets. We deal with all sorts of packages. Some are small envelopes and others are big wooden crates that take two people to move. Avenue Road usually has a lot of trucks moving through, so it can get loud. We try to keep the paperwork straight but sometimes mistakes happen and we have to fix them quickly. It's not a fancy place. We have a ceiling fan that squeaks a little bit when it’s on high. Mostly it's just us answering the phone and telling people where their stuff is. People get anxious about their deliveries, which is understandable. We see a lot of regular faces from the other businesses in Sector 35 D. It feels like a little community here. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just a few of us making sure the cargo gets moved. The floor is concrete and we have some old chairs for visitors. It’s a practical setup for the kind of work we do. Every day is a bit different depending on what arrives in the morning.
