Down at 130 Ratna vilas road, you will find our small office for Annapoorneshwari Transport Co. It is a narrow street and things can get pretty tight when the trucks are trying to park. We have been in the transport business for a long time. It started with just one vehicle and now we have a few more, though it's still a modest operation. The walls of the office could use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that. Most of our work is local, moving things from one part of the city to another. We know the roads here like the back of our hands. My nephew helps with the accounts and my brother handles the drivers. It is a family thing, really. We don't have a website or a fancy logo. People just know where we are. Usually, the morning starts with a lot of tea and figuring out which truck goes where. There is always something breaking down or a driver who didn't show up, so we are always juggling things. We don't make big promises we can't keep. If we say we can move your load by Tuesday, we do our best to make it happen by Tuesday. It’s just how we do things on Ratna vilas road. We like the work even if it’s stressful sometimes.
