Our shop is right next to Lemongrass Restaurant in Koramangala. It’s number 34. If you know the area, you know how hard parking can be around here, especially on weekends when everyone is out. We spend a lot of our time inside the store moving things around or talking to people who wander in after they finish their lunch nearby. The smell from the restaurant next door hits us every day around noon and makes us all hungry. It’s a small team here. We handle a lot of different items and things can get a bit cluttered in the back room where we keep the stock. We don't really do big advertising or anything fancy like that. Mostly, it's just folks from the neighborhood stopping by because they saw the sign. The floor is wooden, which I guess fits the name. Sometimes the light bulbs flicker and we have to get the ladder out to fix them. We’ve seen many shops in this street change names and owners over the years, but we’ve stayed put at this address. On rainy days, the water pools a bit near the entrance and we’re out there with a mop. It isn't a high-end showroom with bright spotlights. It’s more of a local spot where we know most of our regulars by their first names. We keep the doors open when the weather is nice, though the dust from the road is a bit of a pain to clean up.
