You can find our workshop at the President Chambers on the ground floor. We are located in the GIDC Estate area of Richmond Town. It’s a place where things actually get made, so you’ll hear saws and hammers going most of the morning. Being on the ground floor is lucky because moving heavy wooden tables and wardrobes is a lot easier without stairs. The air usually smells like sawdust and wood polish. We spend our days working with different types of timber, trying to turn them into something useful for people's homes. It’s dusty work and our clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. The estate itself is quite industrial, so there’s a lot of truck movement and noise from other businesses nearby. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. Most of our furniture is just stacked up or being worked on right in the middle of the floor. If you come by, you'll probably see us measuring twice and cutting once, hopefully. It’s a straightforward business. We take the wood, we build the chairs or beds, and we send them out. Sometimes the wood grain doesn't behave or a tool breaks, but that's just part of the trade. We’ve been at this spot in Richmond Town for a good while now. We just focus on making things that are solid and will last for a few years at least.
