People always ask about the address since it is just an email, Hi5_Umeshyahoo.Co.In, but that is basically where everything happens for us. Umesh is usually the one answering everything. We don't have a big office with a sign on the door in a glass building. It is more about the laptop and the internet connection. Most of the time, the work is just emails going back and forth and some phone calls. It feels a bit strange not having a physical street name to give people, but this is how we have been doing things for a while now. The day starts whenever the first message pings. We sit at the kitchen table or on the sofa and just start going through what people need. It is mostly consulting work, which means a lot of talking and trying to figure out problems for others. There is no receptionist or a waiting room. If the internet is slow, the whole day feels like it is dragging. We drink a lot of tea while staring at the screen. It is just a small operation run by a few people who know their way around a computer. We don't wear suits or anything like that. It is very quiet, unlike those big offices in the city. Just the sound of the keyboard clicking and maybe the neighbor’s dog barking once in a while. We stay busy enough without needing a fancy front desk or a physical location that you can visit in person.
