About Vismaya Music & CD Point – Telecom in Bengaluru
The shop here at Sahar 99 in Kamakshi Palya has been around for a while now. If you walk inside Vismaya Music & CD Point, you’ll see stacks of discs that we’ve kept organized over the years. It’s not a huge place, but it gets the job done. Most days, I just sit behind the counter and wait for people to come in looking for something specific or just browsing. There’s a particular smell to old plastic cases that I’ve grown used to. The fan overhead makes a clicking noise sometimes, but I don’t mind it much. Outside, the street gets pretty loud during the evenings when people are heading home from work. We have posters on the walls that have faded a bit from the sun coming through the front door. Sometimes a neighbor drops by just to chat for a few minutes about the weather or whatever else is happening in the area. I spend a lot of time cleaning the glass shelves because dust seems to settle on them no matter how often I wipe them down. It’s a quiet kind of life here. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. Just the music and the movies and the people who still like having a physical copy of things. It feels right to keep it simple. Usually, I’m just looking at the inventory and seeing what needs to be moved around to make space for a few new things that arrived last week.
