People always seem to be dropping their phones around Ganganagar, so we stay pretty busy at A N S Mobile Gallery. Our shop is tucked away on 10th Cross, number 72. It is a small space, mostly filled with glass cases and heaps of charging cables. The street outside is usually full of people walking to the market. We spend a lot of time looking through those magnifying desk lamps to fix tiny chips and cracked screens. It’s tedious work, but someone has to do it. The lighting inside is a bit too bright, but you need that to see the small parts. We don’t really have a fancy waiting area. Most people just stand around or go get a coffee nearby while we look at their devices. We have boxes of old phone cases piled up in the corner that we really should organize one day. It’s mostly just a few of us here. We know the regulars who come in just to ask how much their old phone is worth now. The fans hum all day to keep the heat down. Sometimes the internet is slow, which makes things harder, but we manage. Ganganagar is a loud neighborhood, and the noise from the 10th cross always drifts inside. It’s not a corporate office; it’s just a shop where we try to get things working again for the locals and whoever else walks in.
