Signals

The shop is over in Shivaji Nagar at Hans Point on MK Street 1. If you know the area you know it stays pretty crowded almost all day long. We have been sitting in this same spot for a good while now and seen the buildings around us change quite a lot. There’s always someone coming in to ask about a price or looking for a specific part they can't find elsewhere. It’s a small space so we have boxes stacked up high against the back wall and sometimes it’s hard to find things right away. We spend a lot of time just organizing the shelves so we know where everything is kept. Usually, there are two of us behind the counter. We drink a lot of tea from the stall next door while we wait for deliveries to arrive. The street noise is constant with the buses and bikes honking outside. It gets a bit chaotic during the rains because the water collects near the doorstep but we manage to keep the stock dry. We don’t do much advertising because most people just walk in off the street or hear about us from a neighbor. It’s a simple setup with a couple of tube lights and a fan that squeaks a bit. We just come in every morning, open the shutters, and see who shows up. It’s a regular life for us here in the middle of the city.
