Khan Telecom

Khan Telecom is right in the middle of National Market on 5th Main Road. We have shops 23 and 24, which sounds like a lot of space but it fills up fast with phones and chargers. Being in Gandhi Nagar means it’s always loud and there are people everywhere. We spend most of our time looking at screens or trying to figure out why a battery isn't charging right. People bring in all sorts of gadgets, some very old and some brand new. We don't really do the big fancy advertisements you see in malls. It’s mostly just us behind the counter with a bunch of tools and spare parts scattered around. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to wait for things to download, which can be annoying when customers are waiting. We sell recharges, SIM cards, and secondhand phones too. It is a bit of a squeeze when more than three people are inside at once. We’ve been here long enough that we know the other shopkeepers around. It is a busy life in National Market, always something happening or someone looking for a deal on a cover. We just keep the lights on and keep working through the pile of repairs on the desk. It’s not a quiet place to work, but we are used to the noise. We keep a kettle in the back for coffee because the days get long when there are many screens to fix. It is a good spot if you don't mind the crowd and the constant noise of the market vendors outside the door.
