Our little telecom shop is on Dasarahalli Main Road, at number 583/3. It’s a busy stretch of road and there’s always something happening outside our door. We’ve got a small counter and some racks for mobile covers and chargers. Most of the day is spent helping people with their SIM cards or fixing small issues with their handsets. It’s not a big corporate store with uniforms and name tags. It’s just a few of us who know a bit about phones. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't found the time to do it yet. We get a lot of students and workers from the nearby area coming in for quick recharges. Sometimes it gets so crowded that people have to wait on the sidewalk. We try to work as fast as we can to get everyone sorted. It’s a noisy place because of the buses and bikes constantly passing by. We keep the shop open seven days a week usually. It’s hard work and the hours are long, but we’re used to it by now. We don't have a website or any fancy advertisements. People just know we are here because of the big sign out front. It’s a practical business serving the people on the main road. We just keep things moving one customer at a time. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a fan and it helps keep us from sweating too much.
