Vishwakarma Smithy Works

If you go out toward Kamakshi Palya and look around Wakad, you’ll find Vishwakarma Smithy Works. It’s a place that stays pretty busy from early in the morning. We do a lot of heavy work here, so there is always the sound of metal hitting metal or the hum of machinery. It’s not the kind of place you’d go if you wanted a quiet sit-down. The air is often thick with the smell of iron and heat. We’ve been at this location for years, and the building shows its age a bit, but it’s sturdy. There are tools everywhere—hammers, tongs, and things we’ve made ourselves over the time we’ve been here. We don’t have a fancy website or a glossy brochure. If someone needs something, they usually just walk in and talk to us directly. Kamakshi Palya is a hardworking area, and we fit right in with the other workshops and small businesses around Wakad. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings, and our hands are rarely clean, but that’s the nature of the job. We don’t make any big promises; we just take the materials and do what needs to be done. It’s a simple life, focused on the craft and the physical effort it takes to get through the day. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little through the roof, but we just move the gear and keep on working. That's how we do it.
