Vishnu

This is Vishnu, located down in Banashankari 1st Stage. We’re tucked away near the N H 8 area, specifically at Nana Chiloda 1632. The shop has been around for a while now. It’s mostly just us doing our thing every day. The building is a bit old, so the walls have some marks and the floor is uneven in spots, but it works for what we do. We don’t spend much on decorating or anything like that. People usually find us because they live nearby or they’re passing through the stage 1 area for work. It gets really dusty because of the road work that’s always happening nearby, so we spend a lot of time just wiping things down. My cousin helps out most afternoons when it gets busy. We don't have a big team or anything. It’s just a few of us here. We keep the doors open from morning until late evening most days. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit outside on the steps for a bit until it comes back on. That’s just life in this part of town. We handle a variety of small tasks. It’s hard to describe exactly what every day looks like because it changes based on who walks through the door. One day it’s quiet, and the next day everyone is in a rush. We don’t use any fancy systems. We just write things down in a big notebook. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it’s how we’ve always done it here at 1632.
