At Vikas Telecom, we are located at Jayanagar West 703/33. It’s a small shop, mostly filled with mobile accessories and recharge vouchers. The glass counters are full of different phone cases, though some of them have been there so long the colors have started to fade a bit. I spend most of my day sitting on a stool near the entrance. People stop by to ask about data plans or to get a new screen guard put on. My hands have gotten pretty good at peeling those plastic films without leaving bubbles. Jayanagar West is a nice area, but it gets very crowded on the weekends. Our spot at 703/33 is easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. We have a small television in the corner that’s usually tuned to the news or a match. It keeps us occupied when there aren't many customers around. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to get it done. We handle a lot of small repairs too, like fixing charging ports or replacing old batteries. It’s meticulous work, but it keeps the lights on. We don't have a website or any fancy advertisements. Most people just know us from word of mouth or by walking past our door. It’s a simple business, and we like it that way. Sometimes the internet goes down, and we just have to wait it out. We keep the keys in the same drawer every day.
