Vijayalakshmi Lorry Service

Vijayalakshmi Lorry Service is located over in New Tharagpet on the 3rd Main Road. We are on the first floor of Unik Towers, specifically in unit 20 F3. If you come by this area, you’ll see it’s the heart of the transport business in the city. There are lorries parked everywhere and people constantly moving crates and bags. Our office is a busy place, but not in a polished way. We have a few desks, some old landline phones that ring more often than they should, and piles of logbooks everywhere. We spend most of our time talking to drivers on their mobiles, trying to figure out where they are and when they’ll reach the destination. It’s a lot of coordination work. Sometimes a truck breaks down or the weather gets bad, and then the phones really start ringing. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so we know most of the regulars and the routes they take. It’s not an easy job, and the office can get pretty stuffy when the power goes out and the lift stops working. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us, some chairs, and a lot of transport schedules to keep track of. We just try to make sure the goods get from point A to point B without getting lost or damaged along the way. It is a noisy place to work but it keeps us busy.
