I run this mobile service shop at 531 Banneraghatta Road. It is a very small place, just enough room for my workbench and a couple of glass cases where I keep spare batteries and screen protectors. Most of the work I do involves fixing broken phones or helping people get their chargers working again. Banneraghatta Road is a very loud and crowded place, so there is always a lot of dust coming in through the door. I have to wipe down my tools every few hours to keep them clean. I started this business because I have always liked tinkering with electronics since I was a kid. It is not a corporate service center with fancy uniforms or waiting rooms. Usually, people just stand on the sidewalk and talk to me through the window while I look at their devices. I have a small stool I sit on for hours at a time, looking through a magnifying glass at tiny wires. Sometimes I can fix a phone in twenty minutes, and other times I have to keep it for a week if I need to order a specific part from across town. I try to be honest with people about what it will cost and if the phone is even worth saving. My brother comes by in the evening to help me close up the heavy shutters. It is a simple way to make a living and I enjoy the daily challenge.
