We are located at 27, 13th Cross in Jyothi Nagar. Bangalore is a big, fast city now, but our little corner in Jyothi Nagar still feels a bit more like a regular neighborhood. Vijay Steel Tubes is where we spend our days dealing with, well, steel tubes of all sizes. It’s a bit of a dusty business. You can’t really work with steel and stay perfectly clean. Our yard and office area are usually full of inventory, so you have to watch where you step. We have a small crew of people who have been with us for years. We don’t have any fancy HR departments or big meetings. We just talk over tea in the morning about what needs to be loaded onto the trucks. The traffic in Bangalore is legendary for being bad, so we spend a lot of time worrying about whether our deliveries will make it through the city on time. We use a lot of old-fashioned ledgers alongside the computer because it feels safer that way. We don't do much advertising. Most people find us because they’ve heard we have the right stock or because they saw our sign while driving through the 13th Cross. It’s simple, honest work. We sell steel, we load it, and we send it out. We’ve been doing it this way for a long time and it seems to work for everyone involved. No complicated marketing, just moving metal tubes from one place to another.
