Vijay Furniture

You can find us at 33 Anekal, right near the Attibele Industrial Area. Vijay Furniture has been here for years, and we have seen the whole industrial zone grow up around us. We spend most of our time out back where the wood is stored and the saws are running. It is a noisy place and there is always sawdust on the floor no matter how much we sweep. We make tables, chairs, cupboards, and whatever else people need for their homes or offices nearby. We don't have a big fancy showroom with bright lights. Most of the stuff we make is sitting there in the workshop until someone comes to pick it up. The air always smells like cut wood and varnish. We are just a small group of guys who know how to handle tools. It is hard work on the back, especially when we have to move the heavy wardrobes around. People from the factories in Attibele often come to us when they need something sturdy that won't fall apart. We don't do much advertising because our name is well known enough in this part of Anekal. We just open up the shutters early in the morning and stay until the light goes. It’s not a glamorous job but it is honest work. We take pride in making sure a drawer slides right or a table doesn't wobble. It is just what we do every day.
