We’re over at A-31 in Rajajinagar, inside the Shree Ma Meldi Estate near the Gota railway crossing. If you know where Aryas Bakery is, we are just a short walk from there. Our workshop is usually full of wood scraps and the smell of varnish. We spend our days cutting, sanding, and putting together different pieces of furniture. It’s not a quiet place because there is always a saw running or someone hammering something into place. We don’t have a big showroom with bright lights. Most of our stuff is just stacked up in the workspace until someone comes to pick it up or we go out to deliver it. The floor is almost always covered in sawdust no matter how much we sweep it. We’ve been in this spot for a while, and the neighborhood knows us for the noise we make. It’s a small team of us working here. Sometimes we get a bit behind on orders when a shipment of wood is late, but we try to catch up as fast as we can. It’s honest work and we like seeing a finished table or chair when it’s finally done. We don't use any high-tech gadgets, just the regular tools that have worked for us for years. If you drop by, you’ll likely find us covered in dust and busy with a new project. It’s just how we run things here in Rajajinagar. We take our lunch breaks together when the power goes out and we have to wait.
