Venu Metals

We’ve been here at Venu Metals for a while now, right on Bannerghatta Road. The area around the 15th Milestone gets pretty busy, especially with the college nearby. It's a loud spot, but we like it. Most days we are just busy with the metal work, moving stuff around the shop floor. It’s dusty work and our hands usually have grease on them by lunchtime. We started this place because we knew how to handle metals and figured we could make a go of it here in Bangalore. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard for deliveries to get in, but we manage. We aren’t a big fancy office with glass walls. It’s just a practical workspace where we get things done. We have a few machines that have been with us for years. They make a lot of noise, but they still work fine if you know how to talk to them. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so we see each other around the neighborhood too. We don’t spend much time on the computer or writing fancy reports. Usually, someone just walks in or calls us up when they need something specific. We try to keep things simple and just focus on what’s in front of us. It’s not a complicated setup, just a local business trying to stay busy and do right by the people who come through our doors near Gottigere. We have tea together in the afternoons.
