Venkateshwara Provision Stores

Venkateshwara Provision Stores is our small family shop in Mathikere, located on 11 Main near Indranagar 15. It is just a typical corner grocery store that has been here for years. We sell things like rice, dal, soaps, and all the regular items you need for a kitchen. The shelves are packed so tight that it feels a bit cramped when more than two people are inside. My father started this business a long time ago and now I mostly run it with the help of one local boy. We get our fresh stock every week, and sometimes the big delivery truck blocks the narrow road for a while. It’s a neighborhood spot where everyone stops by for milk or bread in the early morning. We have those old-fashioned glass jars filled with colorful sweets sitting right on the counter. I sweep the floor a few times a day, but the dust from the road always finds its way back in. We don't use any computers here, just a simple notebook to keep track of what we owe and what people buy. It’s always a bit loud because of the buses passing by outside. We know exactly which brand of tea or coffee each neighbor prefers. It is a quiet and simple life running a store like this. We don't do any fancy home delivery unless the person lives in the building next door. Most people just walk in and chat for a bit while they wait for their groceries.
