Venkatesh Flower Decorators

We are at 141 Rheenies Road in Dasarahalli. Our days start very early, usually way before the sun comes up. We go to the market to pick out the best flowers we can find. Our shop is often full of loose petals and stems on the floor while we work. We do decorations for all kinds of events, but mostly it is weddings and local temple festivals. We have a small team that strings the flowers together and sets up the frames. It’s a lot of manual work, and we spend hours standing and tying knots. We use marigolds, roses, jasmine, and whatever else is in season. If a customer wants something specific, we try to get it, but we are honest if the flower isn't available or if it will wilt too fast in the heat. We have an old truck we use to transport the finished pieces to the venue. Sometimes we are working through the night to make sure a wedding hall is ready by morning. It’s a bit of a messy business with all the water and leaves, but we enjoy the final look of a well-decorated stage. We’ve been in Dasarahalli for a long time, and most families here know our name when they have a function. We just keep it simple and focused on the flowers. The smell of fresh jasmine is something you never really get tired of.
