Varsha Pg

Living near Brindavan Nagar colony is alright. We run the Varsha Pg here on 2nd Main. It is number 18. Most of the girls or boys who stay here are working nearby in the various offices. We have been doing this for a while now. It’s not a hotel so don't expect that. We just provide a place to sleep and some simple food. Sometimes the water pressure is a bit low in the mornings when everyone is waking up at once. I tell them to be patient. The kitchen stays busy almost all day. I do the shopping myself at the local market to keep things fresh. It’s a bit of a walk but it is good for the health. The colony is a decent neighborhood. Not too much noise at night which helps the residents get some rest. We had some leaks last monsoon but we got them fixed up eventually. It’s an old-ish building. It has some character. I spend most of my day making sure things are running okay. Sometimes I forget to answer the phone if I am busy with the cleaning or chores. People come and go as they finish their projects or move to different jobs. That’s just the nature of a PG. We stay here and keep the doors open for those who need a spot. It’s honest work and we stay busy with the daily upkeep of the rooms.
