Karnataka Vacations

We run things from a small office on the first floor of a building in Gauravnagar. Kothnoor Main Road is always busy outside our window, so there is a constant sound of horns and engines. Inside, we have two desks and a lot of maps pinned to the walls. We spend our days on the phone talking to drivers and hotels across Karnataka. It’s a lot of logistics, trying to make sure a car gets to the right place at the right time. Sometimes the rains wash out a road and we have to spend hours finding a different way for someone to get to their destination. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for confirmations. It’s not a glamorous job, just a lot of checking schedules and prices. The office gets a bit hot in the afternoons because the sun hits the front window directly. We have a small cupboard for our files and a stack of brochures that are starting to curl at the edges. We’ve been working out of this spot for a while now. Most people call us instead of visiting, but we have the door open if someone stops by. We just try to keep the bookings organized and the drivers happy so everything moves along like it should. It’s a lot of small details that most people don't see. We just do our best to make the trips work out.
