V M Transports. Our office is on the second floor of the Jai Hanuman Complex in Yeshwantpur. It’s at number 51, and we are right opposite the Kanteerava Studio. Yeshwantpur is always a bit of a mess with all the traffic and the lorries. From our window on the second floor, we can see the whole road and the studio gate. We deal with transport, so there is always a lot of paperwork involving permits and driver logs. The office is pretty basic with just a few desks and some files piled up in the corner. We spend our day talking to drivers and making sure the loads are moving. It’s a lot of coordination and things often go wrong with the vehicles or the timing. We just try to fix the problems as they come up. The stairs up to the second floor are a bit steep and there is no elevator, so we get plenty of exercise. The complex is quite old and there are many other small businesses around us. Sometimes it gets very loud with the horns honking outside, but that’s just Yeshwantpur for you. We keep a pot of water and some glasses for the drivers when they come in to hand over their papers. It’s a simple, honest business and we’ve been here at this complex for a good many years now. We just keep our heads down and do our work until the evening comes.
