Down here at 23/1 Okalipuram, right by the Gurudwara Patshi Dasmi, things stay pretty noisy. That’s just the nature of working with metal all day. We have machines running and the sound of heavy sheets being moved around. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in the shop sometimes, especially when a new load of raw material comes in. We deal with various types of metal, cutting them down or shaping them however they're needed. The floors are usually covered in small metal scraps and oil, no matter how much we try to sweep up. Being near the Gurudwara means we have a lot of people passing by, and the smell of the tea from the stalls nearby usually drifts in during the afternoon. We don’t have a big front office or anything like that. If you come looking for us, you’ll likely find us in the back with the gear on, trying to get an order finished. The heat from the machines can be a lot during the summer months. We just get on with the tasks at hand, making sure the edges are clean and the dimensions are what they should be. It’s practical work, and we’ve been doing it in Okalipuram for a long time. People know us for being here and just getting the metalwork done without much fuss. It is a simple setup, but it works for what we do and the customers who need it.
